MidEast Crisis 2 Releases Final Game Expansion
Final expansion for real-time strategy mod adds new UN Peacekeeper faction.
ISOTX, a game developer based out in the Netherlands, released the final expansion for their real-time strategy modifcation MidEast Crisis 2, a mod for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. This new expansion adds on a new faction, the UN Peacekeepers, along with new game maps.
The new faction, UN Peacekeepers, receive a variety of units for their use on the battlefield, such as the M1A3 Abrams tank, Brummbar supertank, F-35s, the Comanche attack helicopter and more. In MidEast Crisis 2, the UN Peacekeeper units, while sporting the most high-tech units, are expensive and are therefore usually outnumbered on the field. This promotes a rather different style of gameplay for players, in this case the UN Peacekeeper faction is more suited for defensive warfare.
The mod MidEast Crisis 2 itself was released originally in 2009 and is one of the most popular total conversion modification mods for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. The modification is set in the near future where a war has broken out between the Israeli Defence Forces and the Guardians of Island, with a UN peacekeeping force stuck between both sides. It is up to the player here to pick a side and take command.
