The City of Heroes sequel will be here next week.
NCSoft announced this week the completion of City of Villains in preparation for the game's retail release next week. This stand-alone game is the sequel to City of Heroes (review), the super hero/comic book MMORPG released last year. Villians flips the point-of-view from the original game; role-players can now become evil villians and henchmen in a bid to corrupt the city and fend off the superheroes first introduced in the original City of Heroes. As in the original, players will be able to customize their costumes, build bases, and develop their own super powers. Players can either choose to battle human opponents or NPCs.
City of Villians will be available in stores across the country next week, priced at $49.99. An additional subscription cost of $14.99 is necessary to play the game, but that rate covers both Villians and City of Heroes.
