Location : England Opponents : German vs England and USA Description : Conquest of England 1942 a 7-scenario campaign for Enhanced SPWaW. Hitler has heeded the advice of the High Command and cancelled preparations for "Barbarossa", his major offensive against Russia, freeing up over 100 divisions and focusing German war production toward Operation 'Sea Lion'. It is clear that leaving England unconquered will provide a base for American intervention, and allow both day and night bomber raids to smother the war efforts of the Reich. The lessons learned from the Battle of Britain, however, show that long-range air intervention over England can not be successful, and that Luftwaffe bases in Britain are the only method of achieving lasting air superiority. It is also clear that England's network of radar installations will be another deciding factor in the air war. The second major consideration in an invasion of Britain is the certainty of intervention by the Royal Navy. To this end, Hitler is using the campaign in North Africa as a strategic diversion. Massive Luftwaffe assets are relocated from France to bases in Sicily, out of range of most British fighters. The Luftwaffe begins to test new tactics and weapons against the Royal Navy. Scenarios included: Sicilian Ambush (air-sea only; a first:-) Raid on Radar (medium-scale commando action) RAF Chatham (large-scale airmobile assault on 1942-model RAF base) Folkstone Harbor (very large scale amphibious assault) Folkstone Counter (very large scale defensive battle) Village Crossroards (medium scale meeting encounter) Village Showdown (large-scale assault) This campaign was designed in ENH version 2008; to play, you must overwrite two OOB files (Norway and Italy) with the files supplied. To play in ENH version 2009, you must also overwrite the Britain OOB 72 (supplied). I have included backup OOBs for both v.2008 and v.2009. I hope you enjoy it. Questions and comments welcomed.
